The 4th Credit Transfer System Capacity Building Workshop
SHARE would like to thank everyone who contributed to the highly successful fourth SHARE Credit Transfer System capacity-building workshop. The workshop was organised on behalf of ASEAN by SHARE and conducted on 23-24 May 2017 in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was hosted by the French Institute in Hanoi.
The workshop was attended by 6 representatives from the 4 Vietnamese universities participating in SHARE (Vietnam National University Hanoi, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education, Hue University), 7 representatives from the 4 Laos universities participating in SHARE (National University of Laos, Souphanouvong University, Savannakhet University and Champasack University), as well as AUN-ACTS and SEAMEO-RIHED.
The workshop aimed to support participating universities of the SHARE Programme in their process of internationalisation and in particular, to strengthen and develop further the partner universities’ ability to design programmes and courses that are based upon learning outcomes in order to facilitate credit transfers. Active participation from the audience also enabled our team to acquire a better understanding of the constraints and hurdles to student mobility and credit recognition in Vietnam and Laos, whilst discussing possible strategies to overcome such challenges.
