The 5th Credit Transfer System Capacity-Building Workshop

English

SHARE would like to thank everyone who contributed to the highly successful fifth SHARE Credit Transfer System (CTS) capacity-building workshop. The workshop was organised on behalf of ASEAN by SHARE and conducted on 12-13 June 2017 in Manila, Philippines.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the four Philippine universities participating in SHARE (University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University, and Ateneo de Manila University) and three SHARE partner universities from Thailand (Chulalongkorn University, Payap University, and Thammasat University), as well as SEAMEO RIHED.

The workshop aimed to support participating universities of the SHARE Programme in their process of internationalisation and in particular, to strengthen and develop further the partner universities’ ability to assess programmes and courses based upon learning outcomes in order to facilitate credit transfers. Active participation from the audience also enabled our team to acquire a better understanding of the constraints and hurdles to student mobility and credit recognition in the Philippines and Thailand, whilst discussing possible strategies to overcome such challenges.
